“Bunnies In Boats” Sunday Service

2024-03-29 10:00 2024-03-29 11:00 America/Halifax “Bunnies In Boats” Sunday Service

“Bunnies in Boats” Sunday Service July 18, 2021 Please join us for a very special Sunday Service with our very own, Robin Tafel*. He will present by storytelling his longtime, well-loved message at Temenos entitled “Bunnies in Boats.” Since before the creation of written language, human societies have preserved their culture, their history, their beliefs via the spoken word.  Their oral traditions have passed this information down from generation to generation.  This Sunday we will go back to that tradition and share a story whose theme can best be summed up by this couplet “Things are not always as they appear—Our choice is faith in love or fear.”   Outdoor seating in the beautiful garden courtyard will also be available with an audio feed (weather permitting). For GPS directions to the Farmhouse, please use 681 Broad Run Road, West Chester, PA 19382.   This service will be livestreaming on our Facebook page at 10am, and will later be available on our YouTube account “Temenos Community.”   If you would like to donate at this time, please do so during our service or send a check payable to “FNJS” at Temenos Retreat 1564 Telegraph Road West Chester, Pa. 19382.   *About our guest lay leader: Robin Tafel is a life-long member of the Swedenborgian Church and currently serves as Treasurer of the Temenos Community.  Having graduated from Lehigh University in 1965 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Robin was employed by the U.S. Navy for 31 years as a Navigation Engineer, working on aircraft and submarine inertial navigation systems.  Toward the end of that career, Robin started working for H&R Block, for whom he prepared taxes for 15 years.  After retirement, he and his wife Susan began Penns Woods Puppet Theater.  A longtime and revered church member, Robin also enjoys gardening, traveling, and unfortunately, watching too much television (Law & Order in particular).   “Above All Else, Love”   Facebook Event link: https://fb.me/e/4jaAgIOGH
